In 1995, BMW began to use laser welding plates on a large scale. In the 21st century, steel companies that mainly produce cold-rolled automobile plates have basically begun to get involved in the field of laser welding.

From 2002 to 2009, China has built 32 laser welding production lines. With the continuous development of China's laser welding production line, it is gradually replacing the imported laser welding plate. From the experience of some world-renowned steel companies, the laser welding technology used in the automobile manufacturing industry is an effective technology to extend the industrial chain of the steel industry.
